Green tea, also called unfermented tea, follows right after white tea when it comes to extent of refinement it undergoes and the health benefits it provides. It is developed largely in China as well as Japan, with nearly the exact same production process. Even so, it actually was made in China around four thousand years ago, when it seemed to be used for medicinal reasons and slowly evolved into China’s nationwide drink, finding its place in Chinese everyday living, religious ceremonies, tradition and ethos.

Green tea processing consists of 2 basic steps: processing the newly chosen tea leaves in crude tea, and processing this raw tea in ready tea. Fresh, it leaves are handpicked and then sun dried upon bamboo trays. After that the leaves are stir fried or steamed to dehydrate any remaining wetness. They are rolled manually, and lastly roasted to cease the oxidizing action by enzymes. As a result, the tea holds its organic taste, look and all its vitamin antioxidants and nutrition. It does not go via the oxidation or fermentation stage, the essential difference that sets it apart from black teas. Variation in growing conditions, period of harvesting, and also processing methods create various kinds of it, the favourite varieties being Sencha, Gyokuro , Kabusecha, Tencha, Matcha, Genmaicha, Hojicha, as well as Shincha.

Many customers are inquiring, is green tea good for you? Dose it has caffeine? Green tea contains the level of caffeine? Green tea includes minimum amounts of caffeine, together with tannins, essential oils, and vitamins. Remarkably, caffeine with it is actually healthy. Unlike coffee, green tea caffeine stimulates the central nervous system and strengthens circulation of blood and rate of metabolism. Tannins operate in tandem with caffeine, soothing as well as stabilizing the caffeine effects. Hence, as opposed to coffee, it doesn’t give body the harmful “caffeine shock”. It is absorbed gradually in your body. It unwinds down the restless mental nervous by featuring a situation of comfortable attention, with out making one drowsy. It is this healthy rest and relaxation provided by it which has acquired it prevalent acceptance everywhere, and has now emerged as the most desired option to coffee.

Making an excellent cup of green tea, both delicious and nutritious, is by itself a skill. You should pick the right technique to make an satisfying mug of it. It should by no means be made in boiling water as it can destroy all its curing ingredients, besides making it bad. Furthermore ensure that you just use filtered water or bottled water, since contaminated water can mar the flavour of the tea. You might also make use of water heating pots with temperature controls, specifically made to make green tea.

A number of men and women consider green tea as a medical drink, with too faint and watery a flavor. They are not aware of its versatility and its capacity to combine with different food products to create a selection of gourmet pleasures. Gyokuro pairs enchantingly with pastries and fresh fruit, while Sencha forms excellent company together with sukiyaki and beef stew. Matcha is used in ice creams, cheese cakes, scattered on salads, soups and also stews. These may also be perfumed with jasmine, lychee, or even chrysanthemum; it tastes even more satisfying using these flowery undertones. Green teas are used as platform for floral teas that make impressive celebration drinks because of their ornamental display.

Try several diverse selections as well as combinations as possible; you will not get tired of locating the range flavour nuances of green tea.

You are busy fulfilling your many roles as a provider, parent, spouse, adult child, you name it. And then one day someone tells you that you look tired. The first time, you ignore it. After hearing the same remark several times, you look in the mirror and realize that you don’t look quite as well as you used to; whether you’re actually tired, or not.
In our culture, looking good, feeling well, being competitive at all times, and in all areas is a must, so you hesitantly start weighing your options. Is it a time for a plastic surgery? And that’s when you begin agonizing. A surgery has many risks. There is the prospect of a huge expense; general anesthesia; recovery which you’ll have to suffer through and hide. There is the feeling of excitement mixed with apprehension: will you emerge afterwards as a younger version of you, or will you stare at a stranger in the mirror for the rest of your life? There is the prospect of extended absence from work and the prospect of others scrutinizing the results. Will they know you’ve had plastic surgery, or will they politely pretend that they believe you’ve been on vacation? You know that you’ve arrived at a point when you have to do something, but the thought of plastic surgery is intimidating with many risks to consider and not just to your health.

Don’t despair; there are options that address each of your concerns in a much gentler way. Aging is referred to as a process; rejuvenation can be a process as well. Let’s explore cosmetic injectables versus plastic surgery. Both can effectively address signs of aging.
What specific issues can be remedied with cosmetic injectables? Well, for starters wrinkles, crow’s feet, undesirable skin depressions, laugh lines, the infamous nasolabial folds, and more.

Botox is a great solution for fine lines and wrinkles, particularly frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines. It works by temporarily blocking “communication” between the nerves and muscles in the treated area. This prevents the muscle from contracting and therefore relaxes the skin which stops wrinkling. For continuing wrinkle management, Botox treatments need to be repeated every 3 to 6 months.
Unlike Botox which is derived from a deadly toxin (Botulinum), collagen and Hyaluronic acid injectables are biocompatible which means that they are accepted by the human body as its own substances. (Treatments with Hyaluronic acid and collagen injectables need to be repeated because the patient’s body gradually absorbs these seminatural substances.)
Collagen injectables provide another option for controlling wrinkles; they are also used for lip and cheek augmentation. (Collagen injectables are made of either human or bovine collagen. Both are tolerated by the patient’s body.) Collagen injectables are effective at filling up minor depressions in the skin.) The duration of positive effects achieved with collagen injectables varies from patient to patient; the results may last from three months to one year depending on the individual’s reaction. To maintain the results repeated treatments are recommended.
Hyaluronic acid injectables are made of a synthetic version of Hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally occurring in our bodies: in skin tissue, cartilage, joint and eye fluid. With age the natural levels of Hyaluronic acid in a human body become depleted causing – among other things – dry, thin skin and the formation of wrinkles. Such well known brands as Restylane® and Juvederm® are some of the Hyaluronic acid based cosmetic fillers. (Juvederm® is commonly used to fill in the “parentheses” which run from the corners of the nose to the corners of the mouth.)
Injecting Hyaluronic acid filler into facial wrinkles helps to minimize them. Another important effect Hyaluronic acid injectables create is the increase in skin’s volume which contributes to a younger appearance.
The duration of results achieved with Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers varies from person to person; the average duration is set at 3 to 6 months, but in some individuals can be as short as one month. With that said many sources credit Hyaluronic acid injectables with stimulating the skin’s production of natural collagen which enhances and extends the cosmetic results.

Once the aging process has led to the formation of deep laugh lines, furrows or skin folds, the facial injectables mentioned above may not be sufficient. Other – also injectable – fillers were developed specifically for a soft tissue augmentation and can help correct these issues. Such soft tissue fillers as ArteFill and Radiesse™ can fill in and augment larger skin depressions.

It has to be mentioned that not every one is a good candidate for cosmetic injectables, it is recommended that you discuss your health issues and the medications you’re taking with your doctor before having the procedure.
The benefits of cosmetic injectables are many. All of them are considered non-invasive and are performed under a local – as opposed to general – anesthesia. In most cases, the time required for the procedure is from 15 minutes to one hour at a doctor’s office which makes it possible to drop by for a treatment during the lunch hour. The recovery is swift and won’t be noticed by your friends and co-workers. The outcome won’t surprise you, either: it will still be you but looking younger and well-rested. The cost is much lower than that of plastic surgery. True, to sustain the results regularly repeated treatments are needed, but all things considered, cosmetic injectables produce a great return on investment.

Are cosmetic injectables a substitute for plastic surgery? No, there are some outcomes that only plastic surgery can produce, take for instance rhinoplasty (a nose job) or a breast augmentation (breast implants). Cosmetic injectables are however an excellent, non-invasive alternative to plastic surgery that produces impressive anti-aging and cosmetic improvements without many of the problems inherent to plastic surgery at a much lower risk and cost to the patient.
Cosmetic Injectables versus Plastic Surgery? More and more consumers are discovering that Botox, Collagen and Hyaluronic acid injectables are an effective, safe and more affordable approach to aging. It comes as no surprise that in spite of the current state of economy the popularity of cosmetic injectables is skyrocketing while the number of plastic surgeries performed continues to decline.

Taking Back Your Hair

Hair care can be a topic of mass confusion with all of the conflicting information there is out there. Everyone wants luxurious, healthy looking hair but not all of us know how to get it. Which hair cleansing products should you use on your hair type? What about blow-drying your hair? Which is better a traditional curling iron or ceramic? These are just some of the questions that will be taking a look at. With so many different types of hair products on the market today it really is difficult to make a sound choice.

If your hair tangles easily, has split ends and breaks easily you are probably experiencing issues with dry hair. The first step of action to take is to see your cosmetologist and have those split ends removed with a good haircut. Once you have removed the split ends it is time to find a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. The goal is to hydrate and replace the oils missing in your hair in order to restore it to its natural, healthy state.

Oily hair tends to look and feel dirty and is also prone to dandruff. Many believe that the cause of dandruff is a dry scalp, but the fact is it’s the opposite. The truth is when your scalp is producing too much oil it supports the continued growth of yeast, which is thought to be a cause of dandruff. To get that oily hair under control before you have a dandruff problem, use an oily hair formula shampoo. If you do not find an oily hair formula you like, try adding a drop of dish liquid to your regular shampoo. Skip the conditioner, as it only adds to the problem of oily hair. If you are all ready suffering from dandruff, there are a variety of shampoos out there to choose from. If none of them give the desired result, you might need to visit a dermatologist.

Once you have the cleansing of your hair under control you need to know how to treat it. Blow-drying is very hard on your hair. It is recommended that after washing your hair you wrap it in a towel to absorb the excess water. Let your hair air dry as much as possible and then blow-dry it, being careful not to leave the blow dryer in one spot for more than a few seconds.

Curling and straight irons are the most popular forms of hair styling tools. It is important to know which type to use so that you are not doing damage to your hair. Traditionally, curling irons were made from metal. This type of curling iron tends to cause hair breakage. Ceramic irons are a much better option. They were designed to cut down on breakage and to keep hair looking smooth and healthy. Whether you decide to use a metal or ceramic iron, it is important to apply a gloss product to your hair for added protection and shine.

Grooming your eye brows

The expression on your face can tell volumes about the kind of person you are. Whether you’re upset or happy, the way your face moves can cause others to gravitate to you or shy away. Instead of creating the wrong impression with your expression, you can help to open up your demeanor with simple eye brow shaping. When your eye brows are properly shaped, they can brighten up your appearance – even when you’re not feeling so bright.

How to shape your brows

You will need several tools in order to properly shape your eye brows:

Small manicure scissors

Tweezers

Pencil

Eyeliner pen (and color will do, though white is preferable)

Well lit mirror

The first thing you need to do when you get started is to look at your face in the mirror. Look at your current bone structure and see what your eyebrows look like now. You might see that there are stray hairs between them, creating the unfortunate ‘unibrow’ look – that can be easily remedied at the start or after you do the primary shaping.

Take the pencil in one hand and the eye liner in another. Line the pencil up with your nose so that the pencil is alongside your nostril and going straight up to your scalp as straight as you can. Hold it there as you draw a small mark on your eye brow where the pencil meets it. Keeping the pencil in place, rotate it so one part is on your nostril still but the other move toward the outside corner of your eye at an angle. Wherever the pencil is meeting the outer part of your eye brow, make a small mark here too.

Also take the pencil and carefully line it up against your eye in the center (not completely on your eye, of course) so that you have the pencil in the middle of your eye from your cheek to your forehead and mark in the middle of the eye brow where this happens.

These marks are the lines that you will want to remember when shaping your brows. The mark that’s on the inside of your eye brow is the end of your inner shape. Anything that is in the middle of this mark (you did do both eyes, right?) will need to be removed with a tweezers. The same goes for the outside mark and removing anything outside of that mark, between the brow and your forehead.

The middle mark is a little trickier. This is where you can start to arch your brow if you want that effect. You may want to pluck a few hairs here and then slowly create a thinner and thinner eye brow as you move toward the outside of your face.

If you have troubles with tweezers, simply ice down your skin for a few seconds and then pluck – it’s a lot less painful. And remember that you can’t put back hairs that you’ve plucked, so take you time and pluck hairs one by one. If you should pluck too many, keep your shaping rules in mind and draw (lightly) in any missing hairs with an eyebrow pencil.

Crow’s Feet – Taking Flight

It happens to everyone eventually – the appearance of crow’s feet wrinkles. Often, these are the very first wrinkles we see on our face. When we first notice them, we imagine our youthful appearance taking flight with large wings like a clumsy albatross. Those little lines can be heart rending because of their symbolism. But crow’s feet should be accepted as a natural part of aging. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to correct the problem though. It just means we should understand where they come from so we are able to select the right preventative measures for our face.

Birds Of A Feather

There is never one crow’s feet wrinkle. There are always several grouped around each eye. The skin area around the eye is thinner. It has no oil glands and so the skin can dry out quicker. Also, our muscles crease over consistent use. So when we squint or frown, the muscles below the skin develop crevasses. Your skin fills in where the crevasse appears. You will notice that when you squint in the mirror, the crow’s feet lines deepen. Because of the delicate nature of the skin around the eyes, its wrinkling is not necessarily correlated with your age. But one thing is certain – if you have begun to develop crow’s feet, they will get worse with age unless you slow down the process. Crow’s feet are created by more than squinting.

Exposure to the sun’s Ultraviolet rays

Free radicals cause genetic material alterations can result in collagen breakdown

Normal aging results in a loss of general skin elasticity

Smoking can activate the process of collagen degradation.

Sun exposure is often the primary cause of early aging. Ultraviolet rays cause cell damage, interfere with cell repair and breaks down collagen. The benefits of a tan should be weighed against the premature aging that will result. And don’t believe those who say that a tanning bed UV light won’t cause skin damage like the sun. The source of the UV doesn’t matter; the results will be the same.

Becoming A Swan

Aging is not for wimps! The first realization that crow’s feet have made a home around your eyes can make you temporarily feel like an ugly duckling. But there are a couple of options for changing yourself back into the swan.

Regularly use creams that contain peptides

Botox injections

Peptides are amino acids that stimulate collagen growth. Botox is a toxin that has proven effective for wrinkle treatment. The Botox is injected into the area at the corners of the eyes. The muscles relax and flatten out. By doing so, the skin smoothes also. The crow’s feet are significantly reduced in appearance. Botox effects last approximately 6 months. The technique you choose may be dictated by budget. If you choose peptide laden creams, regular use will produce results.

Restoring elasticity in the skin can produce dramatic results. Aging cannot be eliminated, but it can certainly be controlled. The days of letting wrinkles take over your face are long gone. Crow’s feet can be repaired. You can be the beautiful swan!

Are you a candidate for cosmetic surgery?

Admit it, you’ve thought about cosmetic surgery. Statistics show that more people than ever are turning to plastic surgery to tighten up their appearance or change it altogether. However, the truth of the matter is that cosmetic surgery is a medical procedure with risks and restrictions. Not everyone is the perfect candidate for a surgery. And here’s why.

You’re not done growing

Younger cosmetic surgery patients are the most likely to be declined as candidates. Anyone that still has growing to complete or who might still undergo a growth spurt can be at risk of stunting that growth if they have surgery. Girls, for example, that want breast augmentations will want to wait to see how large their breasts will grow before they decide to increase the size. Other popular procedures for the young include tummy tucks and nose jobs when these problems may also resolve with diet and exercise or just growth.

You’re not healthy

Cosmetic surgery is surgery – plain and simple. This means that you need to be in the best shape that you can be to handle the stress that you’re going to put on your body. If you’re out of shape, smoke, or just aren’t in good health, you may be more likely to develop complications or have a longer recovery period. You will want to make sure that your health is stable first before even considering the idea of plastic surgery. Who knows? Maybe getting in shape is all you need.

You’re not compliant

After a cosmetic surgery, you will receive a list of things that you can and can not do. If you are unable or unwilling to follow doctor’s orders, you might not be the right candidate for surgery. Prior to surgery, you may also be given instructions that you need to follow to the letter. Ask yourself if you have the time and the dedication to follow these kinds of instructions. If not, you might not get the results that you want.

You’re not emotionally ready

Cosmetic surgery can be difficult to handle emotionally. When you change the way that you look, you can feel guilty for changing the face or body that you have naturally or you can be upset if something doesn’t look as perfect as you want it to. You need to be able to realize that no one is perfect and that no one’s body will ever become perfect through surgery. To have much unrealistic expectations is to set yourself up for depression and possibly anxiety.

You aren’t educated on the surgery

Before going into any cosmetic surgery, you need to know what you can expect in terms of the pre-operative routine, the risks and complications, the actual procedure as well as the recovery time. Armed with this information, you can make a more realistic decision as to whether you’re the best person for this procedure.

Cosmetic surgery isn’t for everyone, but with these guidelines in mind, you can see if you’re the right candidate. And of course, you’ll have to check with your doctor.

How to choose the right antiperspirants

It would seem to be a simple process – go to the store, look in the antiperspirant aisle, open and smell a few, then leave with your chosen brand. However, technology has changed and can offer you more than ever before. And if you want to match your antiperspirant to your life, why not think about your decision a bit more.

What do you need?

The first step in any purchase is determining what your needs are. For example, if you like to workout a lot, you might want something that’s a little stronger than traditional antiperspirants. Or if you’re interested in a natural approach, you might want to look at chemical free antiperspirants. The point is that you will want to ask yourself these questions:

How much activity do I do?.

Is scent something that I care about.

Do I have any allergies to certain ingredients?

Would I like something that doesn’t leave a residue?

As you can see, there is certainly more to antiperspirant than meets the eye.

What the shelves can offer you

There are a number of formulations that you can choose from:

Antiperspirants and deodorants – These products will not only stop the sweat from forming on your skin, but they’ll also deodorize the area underneath your arms. These tend to include a strong active ingredient that will stop sweat for the course of a day.

Deodorants – These products will help to deodorize odors from sweat, but they will not stop the sweat production. This means that you may end up with sweat stains. And for those that sweat a lot, they aren’t always effective at odor control.

New antiperspirants with cotton based ingredients – These are actually deodorants that help to block the production of sweat, but without the use of chemicals like traditional brands.

Natural deodorants – These contain natural ingredients like herbs and plant based essences that help to block odor.

Salt based deodorants – These products help to block sweat odors by neutralizing the sweat when it comes to the skin’s surface.

These vast offerings allow you to customize your sweat control experience by allowing you to choose how much or how little you want to control – based on how much you sweat.

How to use antiperspirants properly

But what most people do not know is that you can actually hinder the effectiveness of your antiperspirant by applying it incorrectly. The best way to apply an antiperspirant is to clean the underarm area first and allow it to dry completely. If you’re just getting out of the shower, you will want to focus on other grooming steps as this process happens. When the area is dry, the antiperspirant can adhere to the skin and provide the maximum amount of protection. Try to swipe the area or spray the area lightly with just enough product to cover the skin without clumping. When you have too much applied, you can create the possibility that it flakes off and will not work.

Like the other races mentioned, the Romans were devoted to their personal hygiene and also loved bathing. The famous Roman baths, which were erected as part of every Roman villa, also contained small side rooms, as had the early Egyptian dwellings. These side rooms were for personal ablutions, such as removing completely all body and facial hair. Roman men, however, did not shave their heads like the Egyptians but they ept their hair short with their distinctive bob, and made sure they were clean shaven everywhere else.

Roman citizens not wealthy enough to have their own baths incorporated into their homes, would frequent the public baths and depilatory shops where they could be bathed and shaved by slaves. The Romans were also fond of anointing the body with oils, mainly in the belief that such oils and lotions kept away infections. Combined with the strict personal hygiene of the race, it probably did.

Roman women, however, were much more liberated than their Greek sisters and used facial cosmetics liberally. A fine creamy skin, free from blemishes, was considered to be the
height of good breeding and fine fashion. Cold cream is reputed to have been invented by Galen, a physician in Rome, and with only slight modifications, his recipe is still the basis of our present cold cream formula. With the coming of the northern slaves from Britain and Germany with their pale skins, the Roman women began to use bleach and white based cosmetics in an attempt to appear to have a lighter skin tone. They also tried bleaching their hair blonde. Possibly again to imitate the pale and classical looks of the northern slaves which seemed to excite the Roman male so much. However, they do not appear to have been too successful with their bleaches, as it has been recorded that they constantly wore wigs, made from the hair of the captured Gaulish women to cover up their own poor growths of hair.

Their constant quest for a perfect pale skin also began to take its toll as the cosmetics they used were usually a w=hite lead Jerivative. This had a very poisonous and destructive effect on the skin and sent the ladies scurrying to every seller of appointments and creams in search of an antidote to restore them, at least, to their former looks. The Roman lady of fashion appears to be the first to have openly attended a beauty salon. Special rooms were set aside at the popular baths for the painting of the face after the lady had hathed and had her body massaged with oils. These establishments then became questionable as the young males about town began hanging around them in attempts to seduce the more attractive, wealthy, or influential women.
